Is Weight Lifting Good For Height Or Not?

    Weight Lifting

Weight lifting is a type of resistance training in which we use weights for strengthening our muscles.
As our muscles grow stronger, bigger and better when we use and train them frequently!

But we get to hear a lot about "harmful effects" of weight training ,conspiracy theories are everywhere and in every field.
Same goes for bodybuilding and weightlifting.

People claim that weight training and bodybuilding causes Inguinal Hernia,Intestinal Hernia,Hormone Imbalances,Stunted Growth,Impact On Height Growth, Muscle Imbalances and Weaknesses in Old Age.
But all these claims are nothing more than myths.I will discuss and prove wrong all other claimed harmful effects in further articles you can see in Training Articles, this article is gonna revolve around "Impact of Weight Lifting on Height!".

    Effect on Height

Effect of weight lifting is positive on humans rather than negative. There is no negative impact instead your height grows even more by lifting weight, specially in early teenage.
The best way to increase your Height in teenage is Weight Training as it provides you a pump of Testosterone which is must for your Growth and Masculine Development.

    Explanation

The explanation for this phenomenon is simple. And the reason of why some expert claim the opposite effect is also simple.
The people who say that weight training stunts growth and height,is because when pressure or weight is applied on body ,the spine is compressed and our height decrease with few cm and if that weight is removed ,it spine and joints decompress and height increases few cm back.
But this is just a temporary!
    Not permanent!

But there is a way weight lifting can effect your height (positively)!
That is by putting stress on your bones. Our body react to stress in adaptive way.Whether its our muscles ,organ system or bones;they all react and adapt to stress in order to withstand that stress in better and stronger way.Our muscle use same pronciple get stronger,oo do the  bones.
This phenomenon was first noticed at high level by astronauts, those who travelled outside gravity.Without external stress or force acting on body, not only muscles became weak but also bones. They didn't just suffered from muscle atrophy but also bone weakening. The overall bone density decreased. This was first time people knew it on a larger scale while there were thoughts already present on this phenomenon but not so evident.
Ultimately, when you remove stress or force from your bones for a long tine, they will adapt to become weaker and weaker,so vice versa!
If you put stress or more stress than before frequently(weight training),bones will adapt to become stronger and stronger.

    Evidence

Bone loss has been observed during spaceflight since at least as early as Gemini in the 1960s. Although most early measurements of the amount of bone loss were not reliable, they did show bone loss in Gemini, Soyuz 9, Apollo, Skylab, Salyut 7, Mir, and the International Space Station.

Which they called "Spaceflight Osteopenia",which is because of loss inBone Mineral Density (BMD).
This was the first evidence. And many studies after that, proved this phenomenon was definitely because of absence of external stimuli(firces or stress) i.e.Gravitational Force(Gravity).

    Conclusion

Thus,it is clear that there is no harmful effect of lifting weight or weight training even in early teenage!

Instead ,you can grow taller with weight training as proven above.

Weight lifting just provides you stimuli to grow stronger, taller and betternet physically and there is no side effect or harmful effect of weight lifting!
